If Cozumel's beautiful white beaches, lagoons, and coves aren't enough, take the opportunity to see the Maya ruins still on the island. The Maya fertility goddess Ixchel made her sacred home here on the island whose name means "land of the swallows". You can visit the temple made to her at the San Gervasio Ruins.
